No your the second person to tell me that. Cranks are as they came off the Kona. I knew after I took the photo I should have put the 44 back on Laugh Out Loud

Will end up with a 44(ish) on the front for roadie duties. Haven't got a firm rear end answer yet SS for now.

Ahem... my super cool commuter.

Vintage Yak Laguna, 29 inch frame, 700c wheels, 43 x 18 ratio.

Other features include "starship enterprise" pedals, new alloy bmx cranks, and SRAM singlespeed chain. (Thanks to Bike Barn for awesome service and great prices)

It was part of a "box of parc" that I bought off Trademe for $50. Had a couple of other frames and bits and pieces that I sold for about $30. So initial cost was about $20.

Next step is the powdercoat paint job...

That truly looks brilliant. You should add a biopace chain ring like they had when the Y.A.K was at it's prime....

Nice one. Looks a bit 'bitsy' at the mo'... but I guess that's 'cause it's in bits. Paranoid Can't wait to see it finished. Double Thumbs Up
