The bike shop told me each one would cost $20-$30 to replace, which together would be more then i originally paid for ...

Loose bearings would be preferable as theirs no cage to break. I won't be taking it apart/changing the forks very often so that won’t be an issue. I just wasn't sure if there was any reason the cage ...
