I have a pair of Specialized Crossroads free to anyone who wants them. They are 700x38c and have Armadillo sidewall protection. They have good tread (see photo) and got about 6 months of commuting use with minimal skids.

The catch is they both have cuts in the casing. Each tyre has a cut in it's upper casing caused by pieces of glass getting wedged in the tread and then driven through the casing.

A tyre boot or similar would sort this problem out.
