Franklin Mountain Bike Track Extensions

Postby forklifttech on Sat 22/May/10 3:45pm

:) Yo fellow mountain bikers =}
As stated in an ealier topic about the FMTB club new track work. Good news. This work is now almost complete. The new track is classed as a grade two track. The original entrance to the track has now been shifted to incorporate the new track. Signage should just about be in place to indicate the change.
Go give it a try if you are in the area and lets know what you think. A list of contacts is posted on the web site. The whole track complex is still a good training ground for your special event that may be looming, or just for a bit of fun or to take the family to for some family time.
All the committee ask is that you respect the hard work that has gone into the development of the extension. It has all been achieved with volunteer labour and the majority of the work has been done by hand. Remember the rules of good riding.
To see what and where the new extensions are, go to the club web site (www.franklinmtb.org.nz) and navigate to the gallery page. A map of the extensions is posted there.
There are more extensions planned but they will put in place at a later date.
Safe and happy riding. :thumbsup:
