For Sale: Rocky Mountain Rm9

Postby DZH on Sun 15/Jun/08 10:40pm

Full on down hill bike .
The frame has been snapped and rebuilt . Now it should be unbreakable . It is meant to be 9" travel but with the Romic shock I think it could be more .
Marzocchi Monster T on the front ( 7" travel )
Hayes brakes - (need service now too much sitting around )
Race Face cranks dmr v8 pedals
Nokian tyres

Considering splitting if there is enough interest
Frame is on Trade me this week

Yes this is your old bike . Did you get the frame fixed ? I got Gorden to do some more work to the frame before getting it painted .
It's a fast machine .

It all sinks down when someone is on it .
I think some Super monsters would suit it .

Can you measure the distance between the tip of the tyre and the end of the seat, then take the spring out of the shock and push it down til it bottoms out and measure it again? then figure out how much travel it has. Looks like it would have 11 or 12 inches, perhaps more. If thats not too much hassle, im just curious :p

If I get a burst of energy sometime I'll check it out . It would be more interesting for someone stand next to it landing a big drop trying and measure it .
I just searched google images for rockymountain rm9 it looks like the rear axle is at least 2" lower . That would make it at least 11" travel !
