Yeah, judging by how mine goes, you'll get water/tools/couple tubes/big lunch/keys/wallet/phone in there and it'll still be well shaped and comfy. A thermal or shell jacket will fit but smoosh your sammies and get a bit blimpy.

I'd throw cash at camelbak if they made a ~35L LR pack that can strap a tent/sleeping bag on the outside, but strop down flat for rides once camp is set. Not likely though :(

Bit of a bugger the LR are all on the smaller side, I went from a 12L dakine to the 18L to get enough room for the bizzo I wanted to be able to carry, dunno if I could squeeze it all down into a 7 and be happy.

Any other non hydration pack wearers gone to fanny pack. Keen on a Hunter Shred Pack, anyone tried one?

Used my Osprey hydration pack for the first time in ages with a brand new bladder in it on the weekend and it leaked everywhere...... Hate the things.

I've got one of the new camelbak 3l Antidote reservoirs. I love it - the quick release on the hose is particularly handy when filling.

i think all the big brands tend to have a fanny pack - the runners in particular seem to like them.

My new osprey reservoir had one of those quick release hoses

I hate the look of the big brand fanny packs, that's why I'm keen on the Hunter. I carry pump, levers, tube, tool and keys in pockets and bottle, but need some new shorts and no nice nice ones have pockets down the side of my thighs and the ones with pockets on the side have too much other stuff going on.

Still liking my Palos, I prefer a bladder to a bottle, so the camelbak option is the one for me.
Haven't used a backpack since I got the fanny purse.

If you're a bottle user those Hunter bags look sweet. I dig the tough simple design.

Done, was convinced by the FAQ which confirmed it fitted 4 cans of beer! $10 premium to shop local isn't bad.

Thanks for the tip jo. Seen the stealth stuff on Welly Tracks facebook page but didn't show up in any searches.
