Family Sport For Really Tough Guys

Postby fatwombat on Mon 18/Jan/10 2:51pm

A true story..........
One day a son asks his father: "Daddy, will you run the marathon with me?"
The father answers yes and run their first marathon together.

One day, the son asks his father if he wants to run the marathon with him again and the father answers yes. They both run the marathon together again.

Then one day the son asks his father:
"Daddy, will you run the Ironman with me?" (the Ironman is the toughest...it requires a 4km swim, 180km biking and 42km running). The father says yes again.

This all sounds easy...but check this video...amazing! Click here:

The son wasn't putting in a lot of effort. Lazy bugger.

Incredible effort on the father's part. Good stuff, although I had to turn down the redemption song.

Why, don't you love Jesus? Jesus loves you, you know.

Nothing wrong with Jesus, but his music director needs a career change - that song is just pouring sentimental syrup on something awesome, like they're trying to milk some points for the church from one father's goodness.

Hey Oli, maybe you could build a heap of bikes like that one and they could introduce a "Father and Son" category for Karapoti? :D :D

Nothing wrong with Jesus

Well, I suppose you could argue that all of those priests who raped boys constitute something being wrong with Jesus. After all, priests are supposed to be the embodyment of Christ...

The Bible.
Its a story of epic proportions. One that all fiction writers strive for......make punters believe your utter shite.

Sorry for the tangent. No more religion chat for me.

don't you mean re-writes of the original..."The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail".....Dan Brown was about as original as the ...well Bible. If I'm going to read a book of fantasy I prefer mine to come with Wizards and Elves! At least there believable
