Awesome stuff, it's crazy to think he's gone all through the night and still going, would have been nice to see the sun come up.

Done burger.
It was HARD.
Had an achilles and knee issue, only the latter persisted but climbing standing wasn't too bad so did second half standing - added bonus no saddle soreness.

Used iPhone and Garmin Edge, only got the former data so far, 23h49m, 9506m, 191km

Thanks to all for advice, with a special thankyou to XCguy

Thanks for all the nice comments.

Here's an article in the Nelson mail, eek, front page, must have been a slow news day LOL. It was a bit of a forced smile for the camera, at 20 hours in, and they had me doing 'throw away' mini laps near the top for the actions shots grrr.

So, who's next, Trees, XC_daughter?

This is nothing short of sensational mfw  You really are an inspiration. I am really glad that it all worked out for you as I know you really wanted to succeed at this. Discussing your build up with you has made me want to get out there and climb the big mountain again myself in the coming months. And yes, said daughter is also in planning mode :o
