This has to go on the frontpage.

Thanks for the write up. It makes it so much more real, I really struggle to get my head around just how hard this kind of challenge is. Now I know it's out of reach of us mere mortals, but you have inspired to try.

That is stunning! Great effort in battling the internal demons, and a great write-up, to boot. Thanks for sharing.

go for broke - laps of Bossu Rd, 800m per lap - hell, that's means 'only' 10 laps :satan:

Great to see the number female messages of support, does that mean there are a few girls thinking about giving it a go, or just that XCguy has a lot of female fans :ib:

She was making noises about it yesterday.
The worst thing was she was talking about us both doing it together and trying to be the first husband and wife to complete it (we haven't even checked to see if another husband and wife have done it).
The biggest problem with her plan is, I don't think I could do it. I've struggled so much at the 12 hours I've done. To put a whole lot of climbing in it as well would be way to hard.

I've been thinking about this a lot. And no matter how I tackle the problem mentally, I keep coming back to the same conclusion = impossible.

the answer is drugs, lots and lots of them. If it's good enough for the tdf it's good enough for you :D
