What a truly amazing three days of racing! We are still catching our breath and now have mountains of emails, thank yous and accolades to wade through but thought it too good an opportunity to not send a quick email. With Cycling fever having taken hold of the City - from the Time trial at Lincoln where two long standing New Zealand records were smashed to a thrilling finale at the Road races on the weekend. A buzz is still in the air from what people are saying is the best racing ever seen in Christchurch & the best national champs ever. “The racing on the hill was electric, much like the heralded Alpe d'Heuz stage of the Tour de France”. Roadcycling.co.nz told race organisers. Here are a few pictures of our newly crowned champions to whet your appetite before you get to relive the entire weekend on Sky Sports 1 this Tuesday 12th Jan and Thursday 14th Jan 8.30pm.

Last Words
The riders, the spectators, the crazed fans and the locals living on the course all played a special part in making this an awesome first RaboPlus Elite Road Nationals. The marshals, the drivers the judges the volunteers who all put in hundreds of hours to make this possible - a super thanks for putting something back into the sport and into this City of ours. The sponsors of course who believed in the idea and backed us to make this happen.
