I'm soon to give up really caring...

Seems that no matter how daft John Key is, no matter how personality-cultish it gets (every single National billboard has his stupid mug on it, alongside the local candidates, and they ALL call it "John Key's National Party")... And no matter he gets caught outright lying in Parliament over some fairly serious shit... Everyone still wants to vote for him. People are going to get the Government they derserve. I suppose that's democracy.

If you are looking for a politician that hasn't told a lie, then you will be looking for a very long time, it is more a case of which are the worse

there is a difference between telling a lie to get elected (which they all do) and telling a lie in parliament.

I think they three way hand shake is probably going to be JKs downfall :thumbsup:

and as for the cult of personality, most NZers would vote for Richie MaCaw, even if he had a policy of genocide
