My Ear Has Exploded!

Swine flu? Ha! I laugh at your swine flu! Cos I woke up this morning to a ruptured ear drum!

It's pretty messy, and somewhat disturbing - but according to the after hours medical centre it could be a lot worse. So I've been sent home to rest up and put some stuff in my ear to clean it out.

I was pretty damn pleased when the doctor decided not to send me to hospital because:
a) It means it's not that serious.
b) I'd probably end up even more sick from the pig plague or some other contagious nasty.

Bloody ear discharge for the fail :cool:

I really have no idea. I felt a bit crappy yesterday with a sore throat and decided to work from home rather than braving the cold to get to work. I'm really glad I did now as I imagine I'd be in a far worse way if I had gone into the office.

It was quite a surreal experience this morning waking up, feeling like one of my ears was blocked, and discovering it was full of bloody discharge :cry:
