like DMC daid you get a lot for you money.

$82/7hours is better than $45/0.75 hours for a normally DVD.

sprinkles wrote:$81.36 seems a bit steep. from what i have seen it works out at around $62 plus whatever postage costs. that is what i worked out from the conversion on teletext the other day anyway.
correct me if im wrong.

What DMC + Pumbaa have said -

Dropin Season 2
$11.62 a hour

Normal hour long DVD
$45.00 a hour

Instead of "a bit steep" I think it represents a "damn good deal" - in fact you get 4 times more footage for your buck compared to a normal length DVD.

Season 1 was awesome, I have the first episode of season 2 and it looks like they had a good crew, but I hink I like the season 1 guys better, it was a bit more raw and new.

well i follow the dropin crew pretty avidly through dvds and mates sky... but i did like season 1s crew best. shawn denny's blonde dreads were cool... and there was more mullet and fish tossing action  :p

My Bad

Postby sprinkles on Fri 2/Jul/04 8:23am

i thought his calculations were a bit out when i said it was steep, the value for money is sweet! like you all have said already 7 hours for $80 is a shit load better than $50 for 45 mins!
but my calculations were shit also! not taking into account that it would be that much for postage. :(
so my bad, great looking video. poor judgement on my part. :) [/quote]

I've been watching the DVD quite a bit of late but still haven't managed to see all of the footage. Now I've got myself a TV and DVD player I've been watching quite a few mountain bike DVDs and am rating Drop In Season 2 as my favourite. "The Collective" is an amazing piece of artful photography but I dig the feel of Drop In - lots of goofing around and "human" moments, intersperced with very stylish riding...

...and some wince producing crashes...

said in a very pained voice - "I meant to do it like he did, but without smashing these (points at tackle) into that (points at stem)"
