30km/900m sounds normal for an enduro. What you have now is a Dh race :)

Up until this year, we never had any categories for this event, with everyone all in together and just one overall winner.

So for this year, due to introducing the expensive electronic timing system, we've decided to try a couple of common categories (Men, Women, U19Men) also with $50 cash prize for each category winner, and will see how it goes for if we need to create more categories in future events.

(We have been running this event since 2007, which was just a single Super-D until 2014 when we relocated into the new Mill Block and added multiple "stages", hence becoming an Enduro. This year, with more new trails created, we've extended the stages to include nearby roads and parts of other tracks to get some more length into them, totalling approx 14km of timed racing - still generally descending overall).

For a brief teaser on what trails will be used, below is a list of 9 potential trails.
5 of these will be used in this years event, with parts of nearby roads and nearby trails added in, to create the 5 stages, that all predominantly descend, but easily achievable for an intermediate level XC rider.
For an added hint, only 1 stage will be held within the Replanted Block!

We will also have shuttles running partway between 4 of the 5 stages - so no excuses! CRUISE-UP (untimed) and RACE-DOWN - which is what most riders do on a normal ride ?!?!

Cannonbal Lector
Grand Traverse

Doug Wisor Memorial Enduro
We had 64 entries in todays Enduro at Pan Pac Eskdale MTB Park.

With over 31 minutes of timed racing over 5 stages in greasy conditions after last nights rain, just 8 seconds split the top 3 riders, with Josh Reilly from Auckland taking the win, just 4 seconds ahead of local rider Mike Newall (who keeps the trophy for another year) and Carl Jones from Rotorua came in 3rd.

In the womens field, there was only 90 seconds between the top 2 riders, with Janine Kavanagh taking the win over Katie O'Neill.

In U19 Men, Daniel Self from Rotorua was 1 minute clear of the pack to take the win.

I believe greasy is an understatement, especially stage 1!
