At least 1 deep pocket on the back that you can put your phone and or wallet in so you aren’t sitting on it!

Adjustable waist/waist tabs (for those of us with hips & thighs)... and either customisable length or cut so they don't look like crap when shortened (for the vertically challenged)

Articulated knees (=intelligent pants?) like on my cactus trous'.

I quite like the stretchy stuff above the bum but below the waist that are in my groundeffect shorts. Means the waist is not getting dragged down.

And a rain cover stashed in a pocket. And ability to transform into a bum bag.
