Sounds like some sort of spyware issue Dirtmuncher.

Assuming you are running windoze, go to http//www.tucows.com

And download a copy of Ad Aware.

Instal and run it, it searches you machine for spyware, and kills it. Well worth doing ever month or so. :)

somone has been visiting porn sites and clicking 'yes' to 'free access' downloads......

your lucky it was only truevoyer - i have heard horror stories of web browsers being hijacked to kiddie porn sites  :hmmm:

I to would vote for "adaware" - just make sure you keep it up to date.
It doesn't actualy stop the pop ups - but it does stop them from hijacking and or using tracking cookies on your system.

I have also found SpybotS&D (search and destroy) to be very useful too.

I dont have much trouble with spybots on my lappy, but I installed W2K on my flatmates 'puter 5 weeks ago, and in that time, IE got totally taken over by the bloody things. Extra toolbars, porn and spam pop ups for Africa. Fixed it a couple of days ago :)
