Cops say the 41 year old's body was found in his truck in Greenville, North Carolina Thursday with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Such a legend. Remember seeing him at X Air in Welly and just being in total awe. In fact here's a video from that very day.

He was competitive in IronMan in recent years too.

I think we really need to keep an eye out on anyone who's had frequent concussions. There's been a fair few sucides from american football circles. I must read up on the science behind it.

How many is 'frequent'? I'm two knockouts resulting in memory loss in, plus the usual occasional bumps.

I'm thinking in both the NFL and Dave Mirra cases that frequent would mean a getting your bell rung every few weeks?

Its impossible to judge any single concussion against another though.
And I have no idea if cumulative minor concussions are similar to a couple of majors.
