Plenty of options, Conti twisters, Kenda SB8's to name a few. Maxxis have an option. The twisters come in 32mm width or 37mm. Big is good.

Not sure if I could get 37mm tyres on my rims......

I will have to have a ring around during the week. I have a great training area right behind my house.

Not certain how long the lap was as I never measured it. The lead rider had an average laptime of around 9: 20 and completed 7 laps in 1: 02: 06.

6 riders completed 7 laps with about 5 more doing 6 laps.

Couldn't figure why more people didn't do the same thing. That wasn't the bestest skid you did either :(

Race report and results should be up today.

Thanks to everyone who came along, next year I'm thinking we'll have to make a proper mud pit and maybe a sand trap. Just so we look the part when we're finished.

I also suggested we could maybe do a race in the morning then one in the afternoon on different courses. However after the way I felt the next day maybe this isn't such a good idea, and I was going slow, very slow :-D

I know that feeling. I hit rotorua later that day for a night ride with the Tauranga MTB club. We did 4 hours riding there, but my legs were screaming at me loudly after 3.
So I only had a short ride at Summerhill on Sunday.

I would say SS would be the best.
Any short steep climbs tend to be run up any ways.
