Another dry day in the Waikato, anyone been out to check the course today?

I was abit gutted the ground dried up so fast. Or the lack of bastard big mud puddles Warwick could have sent you guys through

I'll get around to the rest of the photos some time. All that running around made me sleepy :)

I guess I should join the Club and race next year :paranoid:

What a cool race. Well done to all those who participated. Props to the dude on the MUni - mad. And a big "wow" for all the bling being dragged through the mud today. Who would have thought there were so many nice looking cross bikes in existence, let alone in, near, or around Hamilton? I should have raced... I think I might have been able to beat Tui to take the women's title...although she looked pretty fast on that uphill run. Maybe next year?

I really enjoyed being a spectator - it's a great race format for spectators. The high turnaround of riders and the fact we could easily wander between 3 different viewing points (and see three very different parts of the track) made it interesting and exciting.

"We" as in me, you and Chris? Choice! Bummer I couldn't stay for prizegiving (only just made it home it time!), but I'll happily take some beer and put it away for later. :)

I've got some photos to put up later too (I've asked for an event gallery to be set up, so keep an eye out for that).

Not sure how many km's was in the lap. But I think most riders were in the 12 minute per lap range. Was timed for 1 hour, then the next time the race leader crossed the start/finish he got the bell for 1 more lap. Most riders did 6 or 7 laps.

Mad respect for the organisers. Yep I would be down for that one again next year, it was choice

That was crazy fun - pity I couldn't stick around for the beer-frittes. Many, many thanks for the organisers, sponsors, and supporters for taking the leap into this format.

Hopefully the first event of many!
