James Bowthorpe is attempting to ride 29,000km in 150 days to raise money for research into Parkinson's disease. He's just about to reach New Zealand and need's your help.

Here's some info from Rob at Cactus Climbing who are sponsoring James on his mission:

Rob from Cactus wrote:Some of you may have already heard about James and I know I've spoken to a few of you over the phone. To bring everyone up to speed. Cactus sponsored James at the beginning of his adventure, he is presently attempting to cycle around the world in 150 days.

During this event he has been raising money for research into Parkinson's disease. Check out where he is here: http://whereintheworldisjames.com/

He is arriving in Dunedin this week and will be leaving Auckland on the 17th. We are attempting to help James out as much as we possibly can. James cycles up to 200 km a day because of this the thing he most requires is an organised place to sleep and someone to feed him. Cactus along with many other supporters of James and his fundraising for the Parkinson's research. Have already sorted out a great amount of is accommodation requirements. But we have a shortage in the below places -

14 - Jul Wanganui - nights accommodation and feeding
15 - Jul possibly National Park - nights accommodation and feeding (in case of weather delay)
15 - Jul Taumarunui - nights accommodation and feeding

Please note James will be attempting to keep to the schedule, he often arrives late at night and leaves early morning.

If anyone can help us out or knows somebody and any of these places that might be able to offer us help. Please contact me by email or call me on my mobile.

Cheers Rob
