Yep, pretty loose alright. I reckon the pedal was pushing the leg up. Spark plugs a bit gunged up.

Was hoping to see big things from Whopper Eddie. Big opportunity missed for cycling.

He's got the larger-than-life personality that attracts media attention.

Full credit to Tim Carswell, the TP team looked amazing until a few laps to go, there changes were bang on, a lot of time and effort would have been put in to things like that, and they looked so much better technically than 4 years ago.
Australia is smoking!!!! NZ went out the only way they could if they wanted to win, it didn't work but one day it will.
Our cyclists won 2 medals the last games, I know that some key riders are missing, but in the sprinting, and womans events the main ones are there, it shows how far we have come in the last 4 years, and will continue to go until the next Olympics.
Hopefully this will also mean more money for cycling.

Scratch race heats were this am? Anyone know who got through from NZ?

Damn ye for having perspective :p And what is good; while probably happy[ish], I doubt they're satisfied with some of the results and efforts too.

I agree with you Lauren and it has worked at last years Worlds. What I don't agree with is that they looked good for so long. They were raged at half distance. I think Sam Bewley? cracked under the pressure of Jessie Sargent on the front driving. Their changes and spacing started to go really bad with a kilo and a half to go and from there excrement hit the oscillation device.

That said how about Northern Ireland getting bronze  Awesome result for them

I think they saw what they had to do, and had a go. Bit like Roly vs Wiggins at Beijing. They had to change their plan if they wanted to win; they did so but it didn't come off. They went beyond themselves. If they hadn't changed their plan they would have still lost.
