King tides forecast this weekend. From memory I think crashed said anything over 3m and 1.5 hours either side of high tide could flood the cycleway. This means tomorrow ( Thurs) could flood around 7:30am. 3.3m tomorrow, 3.6m over the weekend

I've got a customer who was one of the designers for the new Westgate roads. He said they tried to figure the cycleway beside the road up to Westgate but it proved to difficult to do :(
Nice to know they tried :)

How far is the cycleway going to go? Would be great if it went to Huruhuru Rd :)

will only go as far as lincoln rd. Will get extended to Huruhuru rd when they do the west bound lane from lincoln rd to royal rd. they have run out on money to do as part of the lincoln rd interchange. so will be post 2017 before it is even considered.

Flooded as this morning at 7:45, high tide wasn't till 8:30. I always wondered if they could have built a little out of the way bridge beside the fenceline along the area that it floods, enough to walk on, like a low mtb obstacle. Paint white for safety and wala, dry feet.

Went out on sunday morning to check out the high tide. At the peak it was just starting the cover the boardwalk at rosebank rd. lots of people riding through the saltwater.

Drove past 12 today (don't ask). Water really high, on the harbour side of motorway the water was over all the gravel they've been laying with several diggers up to the axles in salt water..

Yeah, gave the chap under the umbrella by the Te Atatu lights a wave

Wasn't raining either, just wet under tyre. Bikes with mudguards ftw! Not windy, was positively lovely out there.
