2 regular guys that came up with it actually. They perhaps needed to get it in a couple of years earlier??

Sorry but what is the point of a 15mm axle
When you can get maxle lights and decently light other axles in 20mm why make an axle 5mm smaller?

Back in 2003 when they came up with this axle there was no light, quick to remove thru axles... It has just taken a while to get the manufacturers on board, and in the meantime other light QR thru axles have come on the market.
