On Sunday March 18 the Opunake Lions Club will be running a Mountain to Sea Bike Ride. The ride will be approximately 90% cross country incorporating farm tracks. The distance is 40 kms. It will start at the top of the Arawhata Road Opunake with a briefing at 9.30 am and finish at the Opunake Beach where spot prizes will be handed out. Free transport will be provided from the Opunake Beach to the start point to collect vehicles after the ride. Entry fees are Adults $15, children under 13 years $5 and family $20.
