Shazam has already been mentioned. That, and Google Translate are 2 apps that make me feel like I am living in the future.

Hear a good song in a restaurant? Now I can find out who it is.
Want to understand the instructions that are written in Italian? Take a picture and let google translate.
Chatting up a cute french girl who doesn't speak any English? Say "You have very pretty eyes" to my phone and listen to it say "vous avez de tres jolis yeux"

Of course, I have never been in a situation where I needed these capabilities but they do amaze me.

Oh I think I get it now. WP= Windoze Phone?
I've seen you use that a couple of times in the last few days and not known what it was.

So is WP a thing now?

I discovered the IMDB app last night while researching "Vikings" actors. Very good.
And, the Snapper app I have checked out, but haven't installed as yet.

I also have the Entertainment book guide as they have an electronic membership this year, meaning you can redeem your vouchers with your phone. PLUS i think there is a 'Near Me" open with this also, so you can check which places offer entertainment book deals

I do like the "near me" feature on my phone also having discovered WGTN trains, TransitTimes and Phone2Park all this way. (None of which I have installed). Is there a free welly Train timetable out there?

Game-wise Clumsy Ninja is my all time favourite right now. I had Flow for awhile, but it was a time chewer so it went.

Has anyone tried the digital scales?

Vikings is decent.

But the show needs to be about Floki only.

Floki is played by Stellan Starskard's son - not the hot vampire one though. </hijack>

No, WP = WordPerfect. Malcy is a retrohipster.

No wonder it doesn't work so well then.

I can never keep up with what Malcy is talking about through all the acronyms at the best of times. Actually this is probably worthy of a new thread in iteslf.
