Surely the two shimano ones have the same bolt pattern?

If not I'm never buying a shimano product ever again.

Pretty sure the bolt pattern is the same, it's just different rings to nicely line up with the edges of the crank spider

El booto was saying it's cheaper than slx + extender

It all boils down to how dollar driven your LBS are
I've got a praxis in the cabinet I'm asking $219 for it
My theory: expander is $125, an SLX cassette (which is not stocked anymore in nz) was $99, now you'd have to get an XT which is more like $120-130
Plus $15 for a 16t cog if you choose to use one (I never had a problem running one before I went to a praxis, you just have to push the shifter a little more to jump it up a gear)

That's just my way of looking at the magic picture, Anyone else care for a go :eh:

I did the same sort of calculations before buying a Praxis. My LBS offers a good loyalty scheme so I was happy with the price I paid and I got it the same day.

Oneup is throwing something interesting into the mix: http://www.pinkbike.com/news/spotted-on ... -2015.html

Not sure how they've managed to get a 10t on a standard shimano freehub body, and 10-45 seems like a bit too much range for 11 speed. 11-42 is a pretty good sweet spot in terms of gear stepping IMO.

Looks like a special smaller diameter lock ring and presumably thin as fuck cog around the teeth bottoms.

I like the easy access for chainring swaps on that guide :D

Chainrings don't fit over real pedals anyway so you may as well take the crank off :baaa:

Pretty high chance of disappointment with that cassette I reckon unless you wait a season to see if it's working out for everyone.
