I had it a few months ago.. About a week and the spots start to go.. So hard not to scratch though.. I was only ill a few days before the spots started to appear.. However i noticed the differnce in my cycling for a good 2 months afterwards. Just couldn't produce the efforts prior to getting the pox...
Someone has died lately from them. A 23 yr old they got onto his lungs...So can get pretty bad in adults

I had it when I was 20. Nasty four or five days. The pox on the tongue was the worst bit. Apparently it can be nasty if you get it as an adult. For me it made watching laurence of arabia very odd (I dozed through much of it, but woke up with him yelling "no prisoners! No prisoners!" as he charged across the desert.

Chickens can't fly apparently, or at least not very far.

Do chicken's with chicken pox still cross the road, or do they think f*ck it, and stay home and scratch.

oh - and like tony_11 mentioned, you'll be really tired afterwards. I went for a walk up mt kaukau in welly a couple of weeks after the symptoms had disappeared, got home at was a bit tired so had a lie down. And woke up 28 hours later. Confused the hell out of me that I had missed a day (at first I thought "damn. 8 oclock. I've missed dinner". And then I realised that it was 8am.

yeah, I got them when I was 21 - pretty miserable, only lasts a few days but the itchiness is terrible (espec if they get to 'interesting' places :o ). I've got a couple of tiny scars on my face from them, but generally you should come out of it fine

you most certainly have my commiserations though - you're in for a couple of miserable days
