How about a national "Go By Car Day"?

All cyclists go by car instead of taking thier bikes for a day.

The Normals (those who have yet to discover cycling) would then see how much less space there was on the roads without us, who so often get blamed for taking too much room, riding our bikes.

Another thought, though even less serious, would be 'Look Out For Cyclists" signs featuring a picture of a motorist getting a good 'ol kikkn fron a sizable peloton of angry lycra clad thugs... Or perhaps just a pic of a large alpha male type cyclist armed with an angry stare and a large pump.

Sadly I have to have my “Go by car day” every day I commute this year.
It’s not a bad idea though…unlike the following ideas – we (those of us riders who care) want to engender good thoughts about cyclists to motorvehicle drivers.
