bit of ghetto tubeless setup advice please...,
on a 29er if i'm using an inner tube, and cutting it in half, what size should I go for, 20"?
with a 26" I've used a 16" tube + tape
Your thoughts?

Sorry, cant help there. But have you thought about the gorilla duct tape method instead?
Looks stupidly easy and lighter too.
I'm going to use this method when I finally get my new wheels sorted.

Normal ghetto setup for a 26" would be a 20" tube, but if you have gotten away with a lighter 16" tube then a 20" on your 29er would be fine.
I would actually be a tad less tight than your 26er setup.

You could also try using a 20x 1-3/8 tube which would be a closer tension/stretch to that achieved by a 20" on a 26" rim.

Duct tape? You been watching Myth Busters.

James what a waste of spearmint leaves. I'll gladly take off you hands at 100 to a $1 :paranoid:

I like the concept of such a low stack headtube / headset, but fark, they're ugly.

Still, a complete bouncy 29er bike for the price of other bouncy 29er frames is somewhat attractive. :paranoid:

Indeed, you can kind of ignore the ugly bit/s - so far so good for me. I particularly like how stiff the front feels. Great to ride

Agreed. I still don't much like the look of the tapered head tubes on the new Niners but the improvement in stiffness and handling precision is amazing.

I'll be holding out for a Trance I reckon. Unless I decide that little wheels would do.

Not mine but check out the chain stays. They extend for chain tension. Interesting.........I havent seen that before.

The Ragley TD1 looks like an interesting take on the 29er concept. Always good to see some fresh thinking. I would almost be tempted except I dont need a new bike - (did I really write that!)
