Oh dear.

After spending all winter on my rigid 29er singlespeed I jumped back on the fuel...

...no good. It feels like a clown bike.

Shit! I sense impending financial hardship down the track as I make everything wagon-wheeled.

May I suggest spending all spring on a clown bike, then come summer your 26er will feel like a 29er?

Haha!

My 29er arrived the week after Karapoti, and I haven't ridden a mini-wheeler since... just couldn't bring myself to do it. :D

I'm pretty keen to get a "proper" race bike, so awaiting the release of the 2010 Superfly with great interest. Assuming it's running XX and a Reba - hopefully they offer it in xtr/fox mode too.

I'm looking at an El Mariachi, pity there's not one to test ride.

It's a fantastic bike, and I'll be hanging onto it for a long time I reckon. A great trail bike - I might even huck it out, and change the forks to 120mm for extra steaming.

The Superfly would be a proper race bike, with proper light bits etc (Prolly still 1x9 though). Will certainly investigate the Stan's 29er Race wheelset too - 1370g! Should be in the region of 19lb. :paranoid:

I'd like a 29er.

If I had a 29er with some gears I might start taking racing more seriously.

My 26er felt silly riding up Danzig behind Mono yesterday - Didn't help that I was rooted, but when i threw my leg over Mono's Litespeed it felt pretty neat. Apart from his 1m wide bar.

I think I should find a nice demo bike to take out for a big ride/race. Would be really interesting.

Bit of a rewind. I don't think a 29er would make me race more seriously. I'm polishing off the ice cream with the little chocolate fish in it.

I love eating. I had about a kg of lasagne before my ice cream. It helps with my downhilling and hucking.

I had hokey pokey with full sized pink and white marshmallows liberally sprinkled on top. But then I don't have a 29er either.

You should try the new Salsa fargo epic bike its one of the first 29nr non-suspension corrected frames with dropbars
factory fitted looks wicked and feels oh so nice between the legs. Theres allready a few kicking around chch. its one all day epic tourer it even has bottle cage mounts on the front forks.

If you want some wicked road drops for a 29nr you should check out the dirt bars Im sure they have a brand but cant remember at the mo. they have the biggest sweep out at the bottom i have ever seen hard to explain but they look like a roadie drop but sweep way out and wide at the bottom drops kind of like the salsa cross bars but way bigger sweep might have to get some for my crossy. Dave at cyclesupplies stocks them.

You might be thinking of the WTB dirt bars, or On-One Midge bars? Both very similar, a flared drop bar.
