Correct - by the time you make room for a 29" wheel it's getting high - many 29er's are still designed around 80mm forks for precisely the same reason.

Yeah I think so. I might get the angle grinder out to make the Litespeed headtube a bit shorter.

I did it to the frog rocket the other night whilst de-maryifying it, for some reason SLG seemed less than keen, so she's had to settle for stem slammed all the way down (with 25mm of spacers above) and flipped (so many fashion faux pars

).

All it needs now is the charge 'masher' 1/2 link chain installed (really just a gold YBN) to let her run a 17t on the back (trust us to pick a ratio the eccentric won't cover) and it'll be all systems go :thumbsup:

almost finished - not too happy with how the 1/8" chain is running on the 3/23 sprockets though (noisy), so about to order a 3/32nd half link jobbie instead
