Thought I'd jump into this thread with my own SC shadizzle...

After owning a 2002 era Bullit with 5th Element shock, back in the day (which I had to sell around '05), I've just acquired myself a VP-Free which I'm in the process of building up. I'll post a pic once it's done (hopefully by the end of this coming week).

I'm stuck with my 150mm forks for now (unless someone has some Totems or Boxxers going cheap?) but otherwise it's set up pretty sweet, as far as I'm concerned... heavy, but relatively indestructible:

Mint. I've had two VP-frees, and they were both great. An excellent (if a wee heavy) totally extreme trail bike

It's certainly heavy. With the wheels and tires I've got, I'd say it'll be the heaviest bike I've owned (and I had Shivers on the Bullit).

I'm going for solid and relatively indestructible, so it'll last me ages, and the VP-Free should provide a fair bit of fun at the same time. So stoked
