But surely this is all besides the point. Only hairy long bearded hippy types rebuild those hubs into wheels. It's just cheaper to buy a new one

A new wheel yes, if it fits the style of the bike. But if rebuilding for an older bike would a single speeder prefer a good old Suntour / Sansin or Suzue screwon hub to a new $20 lump of poo, or are good hubs now available cheaply?

Was just wondering, had some requests for wide bars and I remember the torsions were pretty cheap and awesome.

ABD snipers are 760 wide and a nice shape, pretty cheap too.

Just wondering if I can garner any suggestions as to why my 1x9 drivetrain sometimes misses a beat. It skips but with a fairly wince inducing clang. It seems to do it at random but more often under load.

- I've had the freehub body off and the pawls and ratchet teeth look fine (not that I'm an expert on DMR Revolver 6 pawl hubs. Is there something specific i should be looking for?)
- I've just replaced the cassette and chain (however it was doing it before I changed them)
- The single speed chain ring still has all it's teeth and isn't bent cos the MRP mini G2 guide wouldn't work a bent ring ( ;) ).
- I've adjusted the b-screw on the rear derailleur.
- I've tried turning the barrel adjuster a little either way but it shifts up and down the cassette fine.
- It does it no matter what cog I'm on.
- It's a non-replaceable hanger on a steel frame so I don't wanna go wrenching it around but it seems to be straight enough to my eye...

So anything I've overlooked would be super helpful, thanks! It's tainting what is otherwise the best bike I've ridden...

Cheers!
