The way I see it, Gavin has given the organisers something they need to tidy up in future races either with taping, DQ or time penalties.

this issue highlights one of my beliefs:

"The more ethics and culture, the less need for rules and policies" (and vice versa in most cases)

Should I have said I was saving the running legs for the run home afterwards?
Mike and the crew expected me to find the fastest way "around" within reason and I didnt disapoint....maybe :)

Was there any course advantage from having a cross bike over a mtb bike?

What a fantastic morning it was.

A brief write up here: River Queens

Has Ashley's first lap helmet cam footage. Also has all the links we could find (pics etc), consolidated at the foot of the post.

Looking forward to California Park!

Round 2 of the series tomorrow morning at California Park.
Rego from 9:30
30 min race starts at 10 am.
60 min race starts at 11am.
The forecast says the skies will be clearing. However, since it's been raining all day up here, we're in for some real cross conditions. Soggy bottoms!
The new and improved course will be much slower than Trentham due to the smaller area involved, thick and unkempt grass, and massive chicanery. Thrills and spills race fans.
Warm food to be available by some guy with a caravan.
See you there.

I will be there with a similar set up to last year but this time the rear tire isn't quite so worn

Not much has changed, disc brakes and bigger wheels, and SS.

I'm expecting the BLR presence to be a bit jayded tomorrow as they will all be up till 1 in the morning watching 300!
