what fish and chip shop have you seen make the biggest scoop of chips? regardless of location (well in new zealand at least)

also, tips on getting a bigger scoop of chips -

1. go in on a nice, quiet day.
2. ask with a lovely smile on your face (if you have dimples, use them)
3. use your manners to the best you can!

However, apparently, Ihe place on Coutts St in Kilbirnie (Opposite Rita Angus sanctuary for the Olde) does the meanest chips. Just gotta ask for them to be underdone, so they're nice and soft. Also, their home made corn-fritters contain more win than others. Or so I've been told.

Oh yeah, for the SMALLEST scoop of chips i have ever seen i would have to say it would be the fish n chip shop in strathmore, next to the dairy. absolutely dreadful.

If you're going for quality, not quantity, Island Bay, next to the beach is mint. Also applies to their kumara chips. And also fish burgers which are massive. Nom nom

Also handy that it is two minutes walk from ma house...

I terms of getting a big scoop though - my strategy is to just order a half scoop. Pretty much always end up with a full scoop
