Nah, Ed had a fairly persistent mechanical issue for most of the race, I just happened to be the beneficiary. My time yesterday was lots slower than Stu last year on the same course.

I thought everybody's times looked slow compared to usual course times, especially C and D where the top riders usually come in just over the hour - I know the courses always change but they usually fairly consistent for time. I assumed the slower times yesterday were mainly to do with the wet, though the womblings thought the D course was longer than normal.

I thought the top senior women must have ridden pretty well to come in just behind marco and Owen.

and bike problems eg brakes and broken spoke, also competition breaking his chain so your not chellenged or pushed to go fast.

Thanks man :) Yeah, I swear half the field had no brake pads by the end of the race. Including me.
