Hey guys,

Well the winter here in Christchurch is wet and cold, but there is not even enough snow on the hill to make the skiing very good. I wish I had the time and money to fly to Germany and come riding with you at the moment!!

So with no skiing and the trails too wet to ride my bike I have been spending a lot of time building mountain bike tracks!!

Well done on the racing, keep rocking on!

I would love too!! It would be wonderful to get back to some of the fantastic riding in the alps for 9 days of summertime and to escape the cold and wet here!! However i have a new job, and have only been doing it for 3 months... so it might have to be next year by the time I have saved some money and have some holiday time!!

Perhaps next year!

Idiot! :hmmm:

Read some of the thread before commenting!! These guys already came and rode a bunch of great trails and are now back in Germany!!

Suggesting that people go and ride the St James is idiotic, it is specifically a walking track, and large parts of it would not be very ridable (although I think you could get round it in a day by bike).

Suggesting that people ride tracks that are designated by DOC as walking tracks could undermine the current relationship that trail access people are building with DOC. These are the people who are working to get us more trails to ride like the Heaphy and Baron flat in Kahurangi National Park. Stay off the walking tracks! Especially popular trails like St James!!

Bavarians Are Back In Nz ...

Postby bergwolf on Fri 28/Dec/07 6:44am

well, almost ...
It's about time I dig out this thread again. Exactly a year ago Silvia and me had the
pleasure to ride with some of you on excellent NZ Singletracks.
This year we are sending over more riders from Munich: Ellen and Michaela, Nicole and Philip.
Both are on their way to New Zealand, carrying their Mountainbikes, and would love to share
one or the other classic NZ singletrack with you.

merry christmas from the cold part of the world
