Hey all,

just a quick note to say that the Auckland Mountain Bike Club is having the AGM on this coming Monday the 22nd June at Massey University, Albany, 7.00pm...exact venue to be advised.

We have a small committee and a few more members to help with various activities would be all good. Our activities in the last year include: getting in place a membership pack and better value for your average member, a very stylie range of club kit for not a lot of money, a 4 round Spring race series in Aug, Sept, Oct, Nov, running the Meridian Energy Kids Bikejam at Woodhill for 500 kids, regular Saturday rides for anyone and everyone at Woodhill hosted by Mark and Kelly, away rides at a variety of locations: Te Aroha, Rotorua, The 4nd Traverse... teams entries into the Cateye moonride and the Day night thriller. The club guides the hugely sucessful JAFAKIDS junior development group under the leadership of Sadie P and Roy Horn. We are also very active in advocacy with Auckland City, North Shore City Councils and have a great relationship with ARC holding regular trail building working bees in the Hunuas, so if you have an activity you are passionate about or want to help make more trails for all of us....come along and get involved.

Ok, a well attended meeting with 20 people for pizza, beer...and the business part.

No changes at the top...
President is Marke Jennings-Temple for a second term at the top, backed up by Grant Ogilvie as Secretary and Kris Bartley as Treasurer again.
Committee is Brendon Doherty, Kevin Roughead and Hayden Russell. We need at least another 2-3 committee members to ease the workload.

Main ponts:
- Our membership is the largest in years at 200+ paid up members and over 1100 on the mailing list!!
- Subscriptions stay the same...a meagre $30 for the year, a bargain when the goodie bag that you get is worth more than that!
- JAFAKIDS programme is going from strength to strength under Roy Horn, Coach Sadie and the committee.
- We have 3 members selected for the World Champs in Canberra in September.
- Kris and James are still building and maintaining trails at Hunua, Marke is pushing hard at Arch Hill Resrve in the City and Sanders Reserve,Paremoremo which are due to start.
