In just four years Christchurch's Armstrong Peugeot Festival Of Cycling has become one of New Zealand's premier cycling events. But for local riders, Lyttelton's spectacular but challenging harbour bays have been the benchmark dating back to the very first time a bicycle was seen in this country.

In December every year the Armstrong Peugeot Festival Of Cycling sees more than 1500 riders taking on the feature 80 kilometre Harbour Ride. The route - from McCormack's Bay around the base of the Port Hills, over Gebbies Pass to the Lyttelton Harbour Bays before one final fling over Evans Pass and Sumner to finish back at McCormack's Bay - is an iconic tour with roots that hail right back to the earliest settlers and cyclists alike.

Day 1 - Saturday the 6th of December
Long Bays 80km Road Ride
Kids Mini Bays

Day 2 - Sunday the 7th of December
National Criterium Champs
