Our supporters have increased from 5000 to 8000! We are making progress!

After a very successful Getacross presentation in Wellington the Transit Board requested that the Getacross team be involved in their investigation into the walkway and cycle way being included in the Clip-ons strengthening project due to begin soon.

We are now discussing

. Possible options for the configuration of the lanes are being produced.
. Likely funding sources.

BUT, it is still 'a proposal under discussion' and numbers count.
. Transit must take notice of significant community support
. 10,000 is a significant number -it is the number required for a petition to parliament

We still need you for one last push! 2000 more supporters will add up to 10,000

You can help us by ensuring your contacts who support sustainable transport options for Auckland know they can register support at www.getacross.org.nz .

Would you like to walk & cycle over the Auckland harbour Bridge??? Please vote "yes" on www.getacross.org.nz for a healthy transport choice.

If you want to be kept up to date please tell me andysmith[at]clear.net.nz
