SOURCE TO SEA 100 MILE CYCLE CHALLENGE
November 8th, 2008

The SOURCE TO SEA CYCLE CHALLENGE is a 100-mile (161.9km) journey from St Arnaud to Westport. The roller coaster route follows the Buller River from the source at Lake Rotoiti to where it meets the Tasman Sea in Buller Bay, Carters Beach. The Source to Sea is for cyclists who want a challenge, who want to ride in spectacular environments and do a cycle event with a fun atmosphere. The Source to Sea is a story; you ride a bike for 100-miles down Mother Nature's biggest rain rut in the South Island - the Mighty Buller Gorge.

I'm thinking maybe an earlyish ferry from Wellington on Friday, ride to St Arnaud that day. Then race on Saturday, and maybe fly home? Is the finish anywhere helpful?!
