You may or may not be aware that Kahuterawa Road, Palmerston North suffered major damage during recent heavy rainfall. The road is closed to all but locals use from the reserve onwards.
PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE THE ROAD CLOSURE !
The engineers have warned that any overuse of the road could further damage it and delay repairs. They could then be forced to make a full road closure and not allow us to take our bikes up.
They are quite happy with us leaving our vehicles at the reserve and biking up the road at present.

Work is due to begin tomorrow (18th Jan 08) and riders can expect delays or full closure at times while repairs are being carried out.

We recommend that users consider accessing the Kahuterawa tracks from Scotts Road end for the time being.

It is envisaged that work will be complete in time for the NI Cup race on 10th Feb. However if not a contingency plan is being put in place for alternative access to the event.

Thank you for your co-operation
