Waimakariri River Regional Park (McLeans Island, opposite Orana Park)

What's it all about?
The Bike Blitz is three recreational bike options open to anyone over the age of 6 who wants to take part in a social mountain biking event. This event is fantastic for children and families and those new to the sport of mountain biking.

How long is it?
There are three distances available: 5km, 10km, 20km

Times will be recorded for every participant however there will not be prizes for place getters. This event is about participants giving a mountain bike event a go within a relaxed environment. We will have loads of spot prizes to give out at the end of the event!

Who can enter?
- Anyone over the age of 6!
- Kids who are keen on biking
- Mum's in training for a women's only triathlon
- Girlfriends who want to do a relax event together
- Dad, Mum and the kids who want to do an event as a family
- Guys from work who are thinking about a longer distance mountain bike race however want to try out a recreational event first
- Granddad, Grandma and the grandchildren
