Just to be very clear. My riding has always been as a properly entered competitor (don't bother checking my stats - placings do not measure fun) or as an official.

My personal view is that if you are not entered or there in an official capacity, there is no good reason to have your bike on the course. The only exception I can thing of to this is for kids races that accept parents riding with their children.

The behaviour like gn.buys is WRONG in my opinion.

Thanks Focker. I want to focus on the behaviour and the act rather than simply hammering away. Epicly good new avatar btw!

Russ - Thanks for the msg re the webmaster situation. It is very ressuring that the issue is taken seriously. Good one. This Huka talk is alarming too. I am looking forward to Mr Buysman chiming in with his justifications.

MasCam wrote:Yeah I did enjoy the article and the model used for the photographs was far better than the one for the droppy seat posts article

p.s. My copy of the magazine had the pages of the seatpost article stuck together for some reason, you didn't get to spend some time with advance copies did you.

Thanks Mascam. The model for the dropper post article and that issue's cover was me as the rider, but with the face of some ugly sinner as he dropped his nuts at a peep show, grafted on via photoshop.

I've no explanation for the stuck pages. Other than perhaps manic BLR fanboy/girl, Dayreamer, bribed their way into the print shop.

Im loving this thread now its focusing on sportsmanship rather than bagging someone for their attitude and stats.

I wonder if the "Te Aroha Goat Challenge" might be renamed "The Great Te Aroha Turkey Shoot" next year... :D

Nah, that's the dude who prefers to wear Placebo Pants bibs, sans riding top.

Different kind of "wrong".

Thats all good, he's past me a few times in N-duros (Mr Guthrie) and he seemed liked a decent sort, which is why I had to ask (I didn't want to randomly tag every specialized rider as being mr Buysman)

I think that guys doing this is one huge reason many ladies prefer to ride with ladies. They find guys riding behind them and yelling instructions at them while trying to ride a difficult piece of track very off putting!!

That is why there are not so many ladies on the club rides and why there are just ladies groups. Get you head out of the dirt you blokes.

May I suggest that I think it is you who needs to be a bit more open minded??
