It is also not a club that runs this event but a company that makes $$$$$ out of it. Bring your gripes to the Goat Challenge and thrash it out on the track. S/Speed the event and have a story to tell about it. Can you last the three hours of tech track fast flowing single trail and a bit of the TeAroha domain grounds.

Regardless of whether or not the ride was run by a company for profit or not it doesn't make it okay to turn up on race day and ride the course and correct me if I am wrong I am pretty sure you made use of the facilities provided by the event organizer, in the finish and briefing areas before and after the race? Maybe you had a bite to eat after your ride before heading back to Te Aroha? I think you will also find that the colville connection was run as a fund raiser for the local school and had nothing to do with a company making money.

Look at that with over 2000 views this is the best way to advertise your event. Now all you have to do is turn up on the day and race. This track will be an all weather course, little if no mud if it rains on or before the race. Single trails are in the lower mountain shrubs and pine blocks so will be shadded from the sun but you will still have a hill to climb each lap to get up there. The suurface will be bare dirt, light shingle with a few out crops of rocks to ride around or over. Two creeks on the way down to the domain will require a little caution to cross. Its a section of the walking track that we will be using for the day so cannot pretty it up or change the surface. The Domain section will be mainly grass and cobble pathway. Road management will be hired to setup the two road sections, some 200m, cones and the correct signage. They will also manage the road crossing outside the spa's building. Two of the flat sections of the domain will be used, lower one for the team change over and the setup for the wheel change pit stop area. All riders will ride through this grass section on all laps change teammates and when the pit window is open do a wheel off-n-on change. Top section will be the lap recording tent and race control, food etc. Colville this weekend, should be nice weather for it. Have a good ride.

So who did the Dual on the saturday and had a good ride? We the team from TeAroha were putting the final touch ups on the "Goat Challenge" track to give you an old stile race course. That it was but where were all you riders who viewed the site and didn't turn up. A small race crew puts a huge amount into providing and event to give enjoyment for mountain bikers but ????. The weather was perfect to race with a bit of drizzle for the first hour or so just to cool you down until you got warmed up and then the sun came out and race lines started to form. There was only one section that was a bit muddy (200m)being one that was dug only the weekend before the event by the crew. Metaled the day before to try and fix but it did hold out for the race length. I have just got back from riding it tonight to remove the tape and arrows and it should be raced on now for with the dry day today it has some awesome fast lines in it but they are in reverse direction. Trophies for winners and throw out spotties from chain reaction cycles, lolly scramble, and some big spot prizes out of my cupboard. "Nature Valley" provided snack bars for race packs and we still had some to give away for spotties. TeAroha supermarket provided banana's and more snacks, drinks. TeAroha Lions Club helped out with marshells. We even had a compulsory pit stop after the one hour mark. The pit window was open for all solo and one team member to stop and remove the front wheel and replace, get tagged and go. Vouches for the domain pools were given out for winning and was a good way to wind down in. Spa's are there to use as well. So you did the Dual so now next year you can come to TeAroha and see how many laps you can do on this track in the three hour mark. Check the results.

Have you ever though you tard that people might not want a dog and pony show with pit stops and such when they just want to ride there bikes?
