It's complete and utter rubbish. Cheap, but makes a massive mess, attracts mud and gunk to it, turns to sludge, and is really hard to clean off.

I found I couldn't afford the necessary generous reapplications of RnR gold. Even if I bought big bottles of it from CRC.uk

Still can't convince myself that a noisy chain can be well lubricated :paranoid:

'wet' lube clings to the outside of the rollers - quietening things down when they mate onto cogs/rings. However the primary wear point is inside the chain where the pins are. Dry lube all the lube is hiding down inside where it needs to be - nothing on the rollers, so yes you can have a 'noisy' chain and still be well lubed. Of course a 'dry' lube probably wears cogs/rings every so slightly faster (but then I could argue that wet lube + dirt acts as a pretty bloody good cutting paste)

you just need to stop worrying about it - like why stress about a $20 bottle of lube every other month when tyres seem to be heading for $100 each - do you also avoid riding your bike cos it wears the rubber out?

hell - even if it works out $2/ride for r'n'r it's trivial - just skip the post ride coffee :satan:

ProGold ProLink. There's nothing as clean that works as well, IMO. And it lasts well too...

I use CRC, not "chain reaction cycles" but that stuff in the can, seems to fix all problems on my bikes, excluding blown seals/beaten off walruses :D

shut your mouth! CRC has NO place on bikes.

I concur with Olo - Pro Gold is the shizzle. If I can't get it, I like Triflow.

crc is bullshit in a can, everything they claim you can use it for is far more easily accomplished with something specifically designed for such a task.
