avoid american classics, fine if you're an uber lightweight but hardly a confidence inspiring wheel (stiff like a noodle)
jeboi's on it, heaps better wheels out there for the same dollars second hand and better wheels for the same dollars new

saw a brand new set of these collapse on a guy 2 weeks ago on the Feilding festival of Cycling ride. Straight flat road and the front wheel broke in 2 place on the rim.....didn't hit anything it just suddenly collapsed.....

To be fair, he may have hit something on a previous ride. That's not usually something that would happen to any wheel unless it had some major issue...

They was indeed, he was very proud of them to. Only the 2nd outing on them, first being on our Thursday night bunch ride. It was weird to see, riding along in the bunch when suddenly he starts to wobble all over the place and then he dropped off the back and ended up on the grass verge. Didn't know what the problem was until the return journey and saw him walking back to Feilding waving his front wheel at us as we went past.

For that price i'd get some customs....its slightly less than what I paid for my wheels from Tristan at wheelworks. 1500g, dt swiss 240s hubs (radial on the front) with dt spokes and a 27mm rim. Love them - stiff, fast and reasonably lightweight

Going down to cross Tristan's palm with Silver next week. He's suggested this set up White Ind H3 hubs and Kinlin rims a wee bit heavier than yours at 1700gm, but given the distances I ride and me being a fat bastard he felt I should sacrifice weight for strength.

GeeSuz they are ugly and would probebly cause much heartache... would suit an Avanti.

Only seen a couple of sets on bikes at club races (I think the LOOK pretty awful...) but anyone used them? Are they the bargain they seem to be?
