Im Pretty new to mountain biking, and i was wondering if there is any good places to ride/tracks around like Whakatane/Opotiki area

The club has some tracks built in the forest behind Ohope You do need to be a club member, club rides are Tuesday nights and Sundays starting at 10am from the 29th

To become a Whakatane Mountain Bike Club member just pick up a membership form from either bike shop in Whakatane (Spokes Cycle Centre or Whakatane Cycle Centre), or drop Ruth an email (details at http://whakatane.mtbclub.org.nz/contact.html).

The club has riders of varying ability so just go to a few club rides and you will soon find a group with similar skills.
