Actor's union guy said on Stuff wrote:“Nobody wants Cate Blanchett’s salary, nobody wants that. The difference is I’m a hobbit, you’re a hobbit, you come from America or England and you work on the same production, side by side, and we work under completely different terms and conditions. Is that fair?”

kind of irrelevant isnt it? if there's no movie I mean: these amateurs just completely underestimated their opposition, and their own strength. They're fucked.
So now both actors might get to work in Romania, for whatever passes for currency there: drachmas? goats heads? or you know, they can save a bunch on orc makeup by just using the locals.

Very well said Cruiser..
Its like a lot of things in life people support causes unless they feel it directly affects them, I see no difference in the actors going on strike to the teachers going on strike, however some people will support the teachers but not the actors because supporting the teachers has no consequence for them.
