Tama started Vorb in 2000 as a bit of a private laugh amongst some cycling mates. Vorb escaped into the public consciousness in early 2001 and never looked back. At the end of 2004 Tama decided to quit his day job as a Library Systems Administrator to focus on Vorb fulltime.
He has been heavily involved with mountain biking in New Zealand since 1993, worked in a bike shop for 5 years, helped organise over 40 events, built a lot of singletrack, and wrecked a lot of bike parts. He was also the co-producer for the internationally popular Drop In New Zealand TV series and currently edits Spoke Magazine which is New Zealand’s longest running mountain bike magazine. In Vorb he combines his passion for mountain biking with his uncanny ability to write complex code at 6am in the morning.

Scotty Lane has been creating mountain bike websites for the best part of a decade, to date his most popular creation was 'Faceplant' - a mountain bike e-zine which managed to pull in around a thousand visitors a month. After becoming hooked on Vorb after a brief visit, he decided his energy was better spent helping improve Vorb rather than work on his own.
He has extensive experience in the cycle industry having been a mechanic, salesperson, workshop manager and e-commerce administrator for a major New Zealand sports and outdoor retail chain. Scott holds degrees in History and Film and Media Studies from the University of Otago, on top of this he also holds a secondary teaching diploma from the Dunedin College of Education, which he says he will use again once he's recovered from his last three-year stint in the classroom.
Loves making pretty pictures in Photoshop. When this is combined with Tama's ability to write complex code it can produce some fantastic and sometimes downright apocalyptic results.
